After many requests for a plugin “like DraftControl” but for posts, I have actually written one — PostControl 1.0 is released.

Feature List:
Supports Versions 1.5+, 2.0+
Number of viewable posts per page is changeable
Unpublish individual Posts from PostControl
multi-unpublish if you need that kind of power
Add Categories to a post without leaving PostControl. (support for multiple cats coming soon)
Change the Owner of a post for individual entrees without leaving PostControl.
Delete individual Posts from PostControl
multi-delete if you need that kind of power

Installation:
Save the postcontrol.php file to your wp-content/plugins/directory
Activate the plugin within Wordpress in the Plugins section

Usage:
Go to the Manage section of WP and then select “PostControl”.
The controls are pretty much self explanatory.

DraftControl Beta 2 is ready and fixes a couple problems reported by users.

Beta 2 Fixes:
Fixed a problem where all metadata wasn’t being deleted during a batch delete.
Fixed a problem where if the $table_prefix wasn’t the default “wp_” DraftControl didn’t function properly

Installation:
Save the draftcontrol.php file to your wp-content/plugins/directory
Activate the plugin within Wordpress in the Plugins section

Usage:
Go to the Manage section of WP and then select “Draft Control”.
The controls are pretty much self explanatory.

The next release of DraftControl is ready for beta. It is pretty stable so I am confident it is production ready. I would like some feedback about where the controls are located on the DC panel. I think all controls should be located at the top and bottom of the page depending on how many drafts are being viewed. (i.e. If 5 drafts are viewed per paging then controls at the bottom only are fine, but if 100 drafts are viewed per paging then sometime scrolling to the bottom is a pain. Let me know what you think…I haven’t implemented that yet.)

I am happy to say my new comment template is finished. It took me all day yesterday…argh! I kept running into CSS issues, but then again I was trying to watch sports all day too. I will post something a little more meaningful later but for now click and make a comment

BTW: I have only tested the new templates in safari, firefox, Mozilla, and camino on Mac OS X. I fully expect to be making CSS tweaks later.

It has been a long time coming but I am finally updating the site template for my personal blog. I have put it off long enough. I did alot of work on the Main Index today and will be updating/tweaking all templates over the next month.

I also want to add LiveSearch - It is such a cool feature. If anyone has any feedback to give me? please do.

We have just launched a new website for sports enthusiasts. BleacherTalk.com is the up and coming resource for sports news, editorials, and sports trivia.

I am very excited about the site and its up and coming potential.

I beta tested CS last year and wrote several scripts to automate production type tasks. The main script I need to rewrite and post for download is called DataDriver CS. The idea behind the plugin (script) is that users fill in an Excel spreadsheet to change layers, colors, text, etc. in many Photoshop files at once. Print production departments should be able to utilize the script to change image layers and text for add layouts that don’t change except for say prices and products.

I had a finalized version but have to admit I overwrote it when I installed the full version of PSCS after the Beta was over. I never thought about moving my scripts before installing. I have been in software development long enough to know better.

I finally have the time to start it over again. This time it should be a little easier since I did it once already. I will post the different stages of JavaScript development as I go….So check back
