The fact that our prison population grew 2.9 percent last year is unbelievable! Almost 2.1 million inmates are in our prisons. The other astonishing fact is that 1 out of 75 men living in this country are in prison or jail. Read the full story at CBSNEWS.COM
I recieved this through email and think it is hilarious!!
A man and a woman, who had never met before, found themselves assigned to
the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train. Though initially
embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, the two were tired and fell
asleep quickly, he in the upper bunk and she in the lower.
At around 1:00 in the morning, he leaned over and gently woke the woman
saying, “Ma’am, I’m sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach
into the closet to get me a second blanket? I’m awfully cold.”
“I have a better idea,” she replied. “Just for tonight, let’s pretend that
“Wow! That’s a great idea,” he exclaimed.
“Good,” she replied. “Get your own damn blanket!”
After a moment of silence, he farted.
The following was sent to me in an email. I thought it was funny and am posting it all to read. Just in case you ever get PRISON and WORK mixed up, this should make things a bit clearer.
IN PRISON.. you spend the majority of your time in an 8X10 cell.
AT WORK… you spend the majority of your time in a 6X8 cubicle.
IN PRISON…you get three meals a day.
AT WORK…you only get a break for one meal and you pay for it.
IN PRISON…you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK…you get more work for good behavior.
IN PRISON…the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK…you must carry around a security card and open all the doors for yourself.
IN PRISON…you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK…you get fired for watching TV and playing games. (well, some do)
IN PRISON…you get your own toilet.
AT WORK…you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.
IN PRISON…the taxpayers pay all expenses with no work required.
AT WORK…you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then
they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.
IN PRISON…you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK…you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.
IN PRISON…you must deal with mean wardens.
AT WORK…they are called managers
Have a Great Day at WORK !!
I learned some very sad news today about a place I used to frequent. In another life I lived in NW Arkansas and went to the University of Arkansas. One of the classier places to go was the Ozark Brewing Company at 430 W. Dickson Street. The news is that they have closed their doors.
I am sad because I will miss having a place to meet friends when I go home for visits. Join me in saying good bye to an old Friend.
I haven’t posted to my blog in some time because of work, school, and personal obligations. I am going to try and get back on track and stay focused on the customization of this site. I put some time in the other night to clean up some of the layout. I also started work on my own MT template.
More to come later…
